'Nong Yuan Bai Lian' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Nong Yuan Bai Lian') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It grows upright to about 75 cm (29.5") and bears fragrant white semi-double flowers in mid to late spring. The blooms face upward and measure about 9.5 cm across.
Pairs well with Susan magnolia, Greig's tulip, Sedge, and Blue Star common juniper.
