Notes

'Nova' peony (Paeonia 'Nova') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The clear pale yellow flowers are fragrant and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Saunders bred it in 1950, and it sets seed well.

Pairs well with Empress Wu hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, African Queen lily, and Polish Spirit clematis.
