Notes
'Okayama' silky wisteria (Wisteria brachybotrys 'Okayama') is a vine for borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It is fragrant and drought tolerant, and butterflies visit the flowers. It blooms in spring and again in summer. Deer tend to pass it by.
Pairs well with Chardonnay grape, Damask rose, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Festiva Maxima peony.
