Notes

'Ole Red' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Ole Red') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant cerise red flowers open in early summer and have cream to white centers. Roy G. Klehm bred it, and the sturdy stems hold the blooms well.

Pairs well with Orange lily, Ostrich fern, Grape hyacinth, and Sedge.
