Notes

Oneseed juniper (Juniperus monosperma) is a shrub for use as an accent. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It has fragrant, dark green evergreen foliage and a gnarled, multi-trunked look. Birds and mammals eat the juicy berries on female plants. Prune out any mistletoe that appears.

Pairs well with Buffalo grass, New England aster, and Weigela.
