Notes

Orange honeysuckle (Lonicera ciliosa) is a vine for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. It runs freely on the ground or clambers up trees, sometimes reaching a length of 20 ft. Large orange trumpet flowers bloom in dense clusters and attract hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees. Red fruits follow the flowers.

Pairs well with Climbing hydrangea, Hicksii yew, Western hemlock, and Jacob’s ladder.
