Notes
'Orange Splash' iris (Iris germanica 'Orange Splash') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. Its fragrant orange flowers have a bright orange beard and open in late spring and again in summer. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.
Pairs well with Maiden pink, Stargazer lily, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
