Notes
'Orin' apple (Malus domestica 'Orin') is a tree for the food garden, grown for fresh eating. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It blooms in early to late spring, and bees visit the flowers. The fruit ripens late in the season. Aomori Apple Research Station may have bred it from Indo and Golden Delicious parents.
Pairs well with Juneberry, Comfrey, and Lingonberry.
