Notes
'Parable' iris (Iris 'Parable') is a perennial for front borders, pathways, and rockeries. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil. The fragrant purple flowers open in early to late spring on stems up to 24 inches tall. It sits low on the menu for rabbits. Divide the clumps every two to three years just after blooming.
Pairs well with Nepeta, Blue grama, Cheerfulness daffodil, and Shrub rose.
