Notes

'Parviflora' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Parviflora') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. A Chinese breeder developed it long ago. Cut the blooms for indoor arrangements, or leave them on the shrub to enjoy in the garden.

Pairs well with Susan magnolia, Astilbe, Hinoki cypress, and Christmas fern.
