Notes

'Picos Blue' Mediterranean sea holly (Eryngium bourgatii 'Picos Blue') is a perennial for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It blooms from early to late summer and draws butterflies and bees.

Pairs well with Ornamental onion, Blackhawks big bluestem, and Cushion spurge.
