Notes

'Pink Sparkles' moss phlox (Phlox subulata 'Pink Sparkles') is a perennial for rock gardens, ground cover, borders, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It creeps along the ground at a moderate pace and blooms in early to late spring. The fragrant flowers attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Perennial candytuft, Gold dust, Bressingham Ruby bergenia, and Little bluestem.
