Notes

'Plum Pudding' oriental poppy (Papaver orientale 'Plum Pudding') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It grows in a clump and blooms in spring and again in summer. Bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit the flowers. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Baby's breath, Brookside crane's-bill, and Plum Pudding coral bells.
