Notes
'Prairie Magic' apple (Malus domestica 'Prairie Magic') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is grown for fresh eating, and the fruit ripens toward the end of September in northern areas. White spring flowers attract bees, so plant a second apple tree nearby for pollination. Wilfrid Drysdale bred it.
Pairs well with Carlton daffodil, Purrsian Blue nepeta, and Lingonberry.
