Notes
'President Lincoln' peony (Paeonia 'President Lincoln') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The single, fragrant flowers are deep red cups of huge petals on a tall plant. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Fire and Ice hosta, Goldsturm black-eyed Susan, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
