Notes
'Pure As Gold' iris (Iris 'Pure As Gold') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It grows 30 to 36 inches tall and bears golden yellow blooms. Butterflies visit the flowers, and the plant is drought tolerant.
Pairs well with Ice Follies daffodil, Incrediball Blush smooth hydrangea, and Cinnamon fern.
