Notes

'Purple City' iris (Iris 'Purple City') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. The dark violet blooms open in early to late spring and early to late summer on stems about 31 inches tall. J.W.M. van Haaster bred it. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Casa Blanca lily, Feather reed grass, and Feverfew.
