Notes

'Queen Bess' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Queen Bess') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, single blooms open in mid to late spring. They are blush pink, and the plant has a large, spreading habit, so give it room. H.A. Terry bred it.

Pairs well with Maltese cross, Black Hero tulip, Sedge, and Phantom panicle hydrangea.
