Notes

'Rachel' peony (Paeonia 'Rachel') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. Its large, fragrant double flowers are crimson with purple shading, and bees and butterflies visit them. H.A. Terry bred it. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with August Moon hosta, Pale purple coneflower, Western sword fern, and Black Hero tulip.
