Notes

'Radiance' carnation (Dianthus 'Radiance') is a perennial for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. The fragrant flowers draw butterflies and bees. It blooms in spring, summer, and autumn, and the evergreen foliage stays attractive through winter.

Pairs well with Coneflower, Tussock bellflower, Lavender, and Feather reed grass.
