Notes
'Reine de Portugal' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Reine de Portugal') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The flowers are double. Because it is a woody shrub, you can leave the stems standing through winter.
Pairs well with Liberty hosta, Ostrich fern, Pink Impression tulip, and Hyssop.
