Notes
Rhododendron (Rhododendron thomsonii) is a shrub for woodland gardens, borders, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes part sun and average to moist soil. Pendulous, waxy, bell-shaped, blood-red flowers open in early to late spring. The rounded leaves can look bluish when young, and older plants grow peeling tan, grey, and reddish bark.
Pairs well with Bluebell, Boxwood, and Snake's head.
