Notes

'Rhodonit' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Rhodonit') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant raspberry red flowers with dark red flares open in early to mid spring. Each stem carries one cupped, ruffled bloom. Irmtraud Rieck bred it.

Pairs well with September Charm anemone, Blue Mouse Ears hosta, Hicksii yew, and Sedge.
