Notes

'Rosy Cheeks' carnation (Dianthus 'Rosy Cheeks') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, rock gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil of most types. The fragrant flowers open in spring and again in summer, and they attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. The plant is evergreen and tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Coneflower, Tussock bellflower, Lavender, and Blue fescue.
