Notes

'Rouge Ribbons' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Rouge Ribbons') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The semi-double flowers are mid pink with lighter edges, and each stem holds one bud. Strong stems hold the blooms well above the mid green foliage. John and Dot McFarlane bred it.

Pairs well with Limelight hydrangea, Blue Mouse Ears hosta, September Charm anemone, and Sedge.
