Notes

'Saint Everard' apple (Malus domestica 'Saint Everard') is a tree for the food garden, grown for fresh eating. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. C. Terry bred it in 1909 from Cox and Margil. It blooms from early to late spring, and bees visit the flowers. It is partially self-fertile, so a second apple nearby can help fruit set.

Pairs well with False indigo, Garlic chives, Rose, and Blazing star.
