Notes

'Samba' amaryllis (Hippeastrum 'Samba') is a bulb for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and bears red blooms. Penning Breeding B.V. bred it. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Gladiolus, Society garlic, and Balloon flower.
