Notes

'Scenic Reserve' peony (Paeonia 'Scenic Reserve') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The cream blooms have red tinges and dark flares, and they open from early to late spring. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Butterflies visit the flowers, and Derek Irvine bred this cultivar.

Pairs well with Niobe clematis, Blue fescue, Lily, and Bells of Ireland.
