Notes
'Scented Supreme' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Scented Supreme') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double lavender and cream blooms have dark purple flares and a sweet fragrance. Each stem holds one bud and has good strength. The flowers have no stamens, pollen, or seeds, and John and Dot McFarlane bred it.
Pairs well with Annabelle hydrangea, Ostrich fern, Pink Impression tulip, and Paperbark maple.
