Notes

Sedge hop (Carex pseudocyperus) is a grass for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and moist to wet, loamy or clay soil. The long leaves have rough margins and grow in clumps of stems that reach 2 to 3 feet. Brown seed capsules cling high on the stem.

Pairs well with Allegheny monkeyflower, Broadleaf cattail, and African Queen lily.
