Notes

'Silent Appeal' peony (Paeonia 'Silent Appeal') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Yellow blooms with amber shading and deep pink flares open in early to late spring. Butterflies visit the flowers, and Derek Irvine bred it. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Ox-eye daisy, Jackmanii clematis, and Lily.
