Notes

'Silver Plane' peony (Paeonia 'Silver Plane') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. The creamy flowers have plum colored flares and a graceful, level shape in early to late spring. Arthur Percy Saunders bred it in 1948.

Pairs well with Jackmanii clematis, Ostrich fern, Greig's tulip, and Ox-eye daisy.
