Notes

'Solidarity' rhododendron (Rhododendron 'Solidarity') is an evergreen shrub for borders, specimen planting, and woodland or shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Red blooms open in early to late spring, age to pink and white, and draw hummingbirds, bees, and birds. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It grows 36 to 48 inches tall.

Pairs well with Lady fern, Aureola Japanese forest grass, Curly Fries hosta, and Red maple.
