Notes

Solitary clematis (Clematis integrifolia) is a vine for borders, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Blue flowers appear in early to late spring, early to late summer, and early autumn. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit the dense plants.

Pairs well with Kansas peony, Big Daddy hosta, and Sedge.
