Notes

'Sorbonne' common hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis 'Sorbonne') is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Light blue-pink flowers open in early to late spring, smell sweet, and attract bees. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. M.C. Zonneveld B.V. bred it.

Pairs well with Pink Impression tulip, Earth Angel hosta, and Shirley Temple peony.
