Notes

'Sparky' French marigold (Tagetes patula 'Sparky') is an annual for borders, containers, and cut flowers. It is tender to cold, and the first hard frost will kill it. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It forms a clumping mound 6 to 12 inches tall with fragrant flowers that attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Bloom color ranges from yellow and orange to red and copper.

Pairs well with Globe amaranth, Double Click Snow Puff cosmos, and Red fescue.
