Notes

'Sting' American arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis 'Sting') is a tree for privacy screens, hedges, specimen planting, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It grows slowly into a dense, fragrant evergreen that birds visit. It sits low on the menu for deer. Give it room to reach its full height.

Pairs well with Panicle hydrangea, Stonecrop, and Prairie dropseed.
