Notes

'Streaker' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Streaker') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The light pink double blooms have red stripes and a slight fragrance. Each stem carries 4 buds, and the plant grows about 30 inches tall. D. Steve Varner bred it from Rivida and Miss America.

Pairs well with Goldsturm black-eyed Susan, Ostrich fern, Black Hero tulip, and Smooth hydrangea.
