Notes
'Summer' thyme (Thymus vulgaris 'Summer') is an herb grown for culinary use, rock gardens, containers, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. This superb culinary thyme stays evergreen and has fragrant foliage that bees and butterflies visit. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. You can grow it in dry spots because it tolerates drought and salt.
Pairs well with Berggarten sage, Kent Beauty oregano, and Calamint.
