Notes

'Summit' green ash (Fraxinus pennsylvanica 'Summit') is a tree for specimen planting, shade gardens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Greenish-purple flowers open in early to late spring and attract butterflies, bees, and birds. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Princeton Sentry maidenhair tree, Common snowberry, Sedge, and Common blue violet.
