Notes

'Super Nova' peony (Paeonia 'Super Nova') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Its lemon-yellow or cream blooms show rose-red veining and dark red flares in early to late spring. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Butterflies visit the flowers.

Pairs well with May Night salvia, Hicksii yew, Lily, and Ostrich fern.
