Notes
'Superba' clematis (Clematis jackmanii 'Superba') is a vine for borders and containers, and it needs little care. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. White blooms with pink shading and cream anthers open in late spring and again in early to late summer. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the flowers.
Pairs well with Festiva Maxima peony, Burnet, and Big bluestem.
