Notes

'Sweet Arrival' peony (Paeonia 'Sweet Arrival') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Yellow blooms with red edges and red flares open in early to late spring and attract butterflies. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Derek Irvine introduced it in 2001.

Pairs well with May Night salvia, Astilbe, Christmas fern, and Lily.
