Notes

Sweet briar rose (Rosa rubiginosa) is a shrub for hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows 6 to 10 feet tall and wide, so give it plenty of room. The pink flowers are fragrant and draw butterflies, bees, and birds. It also tolerates drought once established.

Pairs well with Juneberry, Burnet, Blue fescue, and Clematis.
