Notes

'Sweetie Pie' carnation (Dianthus 'Sweetie Pie') is a perennial for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil of most types. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. The fragrant flowers bring in butterflies and bees, and the evergreen foliage stays attractive in winter.

Pairs well with Catmint, Coneflower, Black Taffeta coral bells, and Blue fescue.
