Notes

'Sylvester' common hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis 'Sylvester') is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It blooms in early to late spring and has a fragrant scent that draws bees. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. The clumping plants also tolerate drought.

Pairs well with Pink Impression tulip, Blue fescue, and Irish moss.
