Notes

'Theseus' iris (Iris 'Theseus') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. The standards are deep violet with darker veins, and the falls are deep violet veined and blotched on a creamy white ground. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Flowers open in spring and again in summer.

Pairs well with Feather reed grass, Avens, and Casa Blanca lily.
