Notes

'Toichi Ruby' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Toichi Ruby') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant ruby-red flowers open in early to mid spring. The blooms sit upright above the good foliage on a well-formed bush. Toichi Domoto bred it.

Pairs well with First Frost hosta, David garden phlox, and Ostrich fern.
