Torch Song peony

Garden uses

Notes

'Torch Song' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Torch Song') is a perennial for borders, cut flower gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large red flowers are full and well shaped. They are a few shades darker red than Big Ben, with a few stamens hidden in the center. Stiff stems hold the blooms up, and the foliage stays a good green.

Pairs well with Rainbow's End hosta, Lungwort, Sedge, and Rose.
