Notes

Trumpet honeysuckle (Campsis radicans) is a vine for borders, pollinator gardens, and xeriscapes. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Its orange to scarlet flowers draw hummingbirds and bees. Deer tend to pass it by. It spreads fast by suckers and aerial rootlets, so plant it near concrete or where you can mow the suckers.

Pairs well with Morning glory, Tall fescue, and Moonshine yarrow.

Native range

North America, District of Columbia, New Hampshire, and New Jersey.
